Minutes from the September 11, 2006 Regular Meeting of the

Lee Township Board of Trustees

 

The Supervisor called the meeting held at the Lee Township Hall to order at 7:00 P.M.

The Pledge of Allegiance recited. Present were Trustees Dale Wolfgang and Mike Glynn,

Clerk Ron Rippee, Treasurer Bill Stewart, and Supervisor David Yost. Guest Judge

Robert Donahue thanked all township officials for the job they were doing. Guest County

Commissioner Guest Yvonne Corbat also thanked all township officials for the job they

were doing.

 

Item 1.  Dale Wolfgang moved supported by Bill Stewart to approve the minutes from the

August 14, 2006 regular meeting. Motion carried.

 

Item 2.  Bill Stewart moved supported by Mike Glynn to approve the minutes from the

September 7, 2006 meeting. Motion carried.

 

Item 3.  The Treasurer’s report was read and placed on file.

 

Item 4.  Bill Stewart supported by Dale Wolfgang to approve payment of the general bills with these additions:

 

                  $41.67 to the Midland Daily News for publishing

                  $145.00 to I- Commander for September’s access fee and accounting           

                   questions

Item 5.  Bill Stewart moved supported by Mike Glynn to pay the fire department bills as 

              presented with these additions

 

                  $11.48 to Peter Kirk for August fire department mileage

                  $28.00 to Front line Services Inc. for helmet decals

                  $64.53 to Raquel Bade for August fire department mileage

                  $194.75 to Yost Enterprises for 5 gallons of Biosolve

Item 6.  Bill Stewart moved supported by Dale Wolfgang to approve the payroll. Dale yes, Mike yes, Ron yes, Bill yes, and Dave yes. Motion carried.

 

Item 7.  Bill Stewart supported by Mike Glynn to for the Supervisor to obtain from Doug Eastman a cost estimate to clean up the blight at 2224 W. Isabella Rd. Bill Stewart further moved for the tires at the 2224 W. Isabella Rd. site be taken to the Coleman tire recycling center while the remainder of the blight at the site be taken go to the Lee Township Compactor. Bill also further moved should the Supervisor deem Doug Eastman’s cost estimate to be reasonable he was to authorize the clean up by Doug Eastman. Dale yes, Mike yes, Ron yes, Bill yes, and Dave yes. Motion carried.      

 

 

 Item 8.  Dale Wolfgang moved supported by Bill Stewart to hire Larry Skym to

winterize the park at a cost of $75.00 plus supplies. Dale yes, Mike yes, Ron yes, Bill

yes, and Dave yes. Motion carried.

 

Item 9.  Mike Glynn moved supported by Dale Wolfgang for the fire department to

purchase thirty (30) traffic cones and four (4) traffic arrows. Dale yes, Mike yes, Ron yes

Bill yes, and Dave yes. Motion carried.

 

Item 10. Mike Glynn moved supported by Dale Wolfgang to appoint Dan Coe to the fire

department. Dale yes, Mike yes, Ron yes, Bill yes, and Dave yes. Motion carried.

 

Item 11. Bill Stewart moved supported by Mike Glynn to appoint Brenda Coe to the

fire department. Dale yes, Mike yes, Ron yes, Bill yes, and Dave yes. Motion carried.

 

Public comments were opened at 7:57 P.M. and closed at 8:05 P.M.

 

Item 12. Dale Wolfgang moved supported by Mike Glynn to accept the proposal from

Tom York to replace the roof at the park pavilion and to build two new pavilions at the

park. Dale yes, Mike yes, Ron yes, Bill yes, and Dave yes. Motion carried.

 

Item 13. Bill Stewart moved supported by Mike Glynn to complete Part I of McKenna &

Associates revised proposal dated 8/15/06. Dale yes, Mike yes, Ron yes, Bill yes, and

Dave yes. Motion carried.

 

Item 14. Bill Stewart moved supported by Dale Wolfgang to accept Rowe Incorporated’s

proposal for wetland determination at the cemetery expansion site and proposed hall site.

Dale yes, Mike yes, Ron yes, Bill yes, and Dave yes. Motion carried.

 

Item 15. Dale Wolfgang moved supported by Bill Stewart for Consumers Energy to bury

the electrical service to the park pump house. Dale yes, Mike yes, Ron yes, Bill yes, and

Dave yes. Motion carried.

 

Public comments were reopened at 9:08 P.M. and closed at 9:10 P.M.
